Fire Encasement
Passive fire protection is a vital component of any fire safety strategy and attempts to contain or slow the spread of fire by providing protection to structural components such as columns, beams and floors.
A frameless structural steel encasement is where the boards fix to one another without the need for additional framing to minimise space intrusion. Such systems can provide protection up to 120 minutes.
A metal framed structural steel encasement system for greater flexibility of installation giving the ability to overcome misaligned steel or connections. They can also provide improved acoustics as boards are not directly connected to the steelwork. Such systems can provide up to 180 minutes fire resistance.
